前 NBA 球员 JR-史密斯在节目中分享了一段极具戏剧性的旧闻，讲述自己刚踏入联盟打夏季联赛时，和丹尼斯-罗德曼有关的趣事。 Colombo, Oct 15 (UNI) Sri Lanka has sought support from the International Labour Organisation (ILO) to assist the government’s initiative to establish a digital database of the country's labour workforce, a newspaper reported on Saturday.
Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena pointed out that the Labour Ministry has taken steps to establish a comprehensive digitised database of the workforce and urged the ILO to assist in expediting the process, the Daily Mirror reported.
This was discussed when ILO Country Director Simrin C Singh and ILO Headquarters Senior Employment Specialist Sher Verick called on the Prime Minister this week.
The ILO received a first-hand briefing on the impact of the Covid pandemic and economic crisis on the labour workforce and the short-term and long-term steps taken by the government to recover the economy and to help the workers, especially the low-income labour force.
During the meeting, Singh pointed out that despite some signs of positive trends, most developing countries, including Sri Lanka, were faced with difficulties, due to global recession, limited fiscal space, debt sustainability challenges and rising inflation.
The Prime Minister said the government was keen to make the labour workforce upwardly mobile and explained the multitude of training programmes launched for skill development.
The ILO delegation assured fullest support to all the efforts taken by the government for the well-being of the labour and measures for upgrading the skills of the workforce.

夏季联赛会给球员发放一次性单日补贴，金额为 1600 美元。JR 回忆，第一天全队登上球队大巴领取装着现金的信封，他亲眼看着罗德曼拿到补贴信封、下车离开，从那之后，自己再也没有见到过罗德曼，对方直接缺席了后续所有夏联赛程。
JR 还提到，当时自己年少，手里攥着这份 1600 美元补贴都觉得分量不轻，对比罗德曼拿完钱就彻底消失的操作，至今印象深刻。
